Our People team is looking for a Spring 2025 intern to help the team with daily activities and provide administrative support. This person would work on ongoing projects while helping to develop future initiatives. The internship will touch all areas of HR including recruiting, training, onboarding, employee engagement, DEI initiatives, and benefits management. 

 

Responsibilities of this position include: 

 

§  Ensure employee records are fully up to date in all systems and applications used by the People team. 

§  Assist Talent Acquisition Manager with the recruiting process for full-time and experienced positions, including:  

o   Proofread and post job descriptions for new positions.  

o   Provide technical support for candidates and recruiters using Trakstar. 

o   Research and analyze salary data and trends in the public accounting industry. 

o   Assist with interview scheduling and gather feedback as needed.  

§  Assist HR Coordinator with intern recruiting processes, including: 

o   Assist with details and logistics of internship programs. 

o   Assist with campus recruiting events 

o   Maintain campus recruiting calendar. 

§  Help facilitate the onboarding process for full-time employees and interns in all locations, ensuring they are well-integrated into the company culture and are set up for success, including:   

o   Effectively communicating with internal teams and maintaining records associated with onboarding processes. 

o   Facilitating a seamless pre-hire experience for all incoming employees. 

§  Complete offboarding processes for full-time employees and interns in all locations timely and accurately. 

§  Oversee the entire lifecycle of contractor engagement, including onboarding and offboarding processes. 

§  Assist L&D Coordinator with maintaining professional accreditations records of new and existing employees and work yearly with the accounting department to renew and update firm membership rosters including: 

o   GSCPA Membership  

o   AICPA Membership  

o   City of Atlanta Professional License 

§  Assist with performance, benefits and compensation processes as needed. 

§  Assist People team by generating and analyzing reports. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data reports, including workforce metrics, turnover rates, and employee satisfaction surveys. 

§  Support People initiatives and events that foster a positive work environment and drive employee engagement, including: 

o   Firm wide meetings 

o   Firm events 

o   Employee recognition and staff incentives 

§  Assist with the administration of the DEI Advisory Council including meeting coordination, weekly newsletter inserts, and working directly with members to move initiatives forward.  

§  Initiate preparation of weekly newsletter, collaborating with the team and Firm leadership on copy and content to include. 

§  Help coordinate travel for candidates/employees as needed. 

§  Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide timely, accurate, information. 

§  Seek out learning opportunities and stay updated with industry trends.  

§  Act as a stand-in to other members of the team, and front-desk reception, as needed.  

§  Assist with other HR projects throughout the year and as needed. 

 

Requirements of this position include: 

 

§  Currently pursuing a degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or other related field. 

§  Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite.  

§  Outstanding level of attention to detail and organization. 

§  Strong aptitude for technology with a proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms and tools 

§  Professional character, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. 

§  Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
