Our CAS team is growing and is looking for a Financial Executive to join the team… 

 

What you will be doing…

We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Financial Executive to provide high-level financial leadership to our firm clients. This role combines financial expertise with a business development acumen, making it ideal for a finance executive who enjoys both advising clients and helping grow the firm’s footprint. You will work across a portfolio of businesses, offering strategic insights, improving financial operations, and identifying new opportunities for growth.

 

Internal & External Business Development

·         Cultivate and maintain relationships within your network to identify and generate new business opportunities and foster strategic relationships.

·         Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including referrals, partnerships, and upselling services to existing clients.

·         Represent the firm at networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings.

·         Identify, pursue and manage business development opportunities, maintaining detailed activity records and pipeline progress within the CRM system.   

·         Assist in proposal development and client onboarding processes.

·         Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and long-term partner.

 

Client Financial Leadership

·         Serve as a strategic advisor to clients on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital strategy.

·         Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.

·         Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

·         Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.

·         Support fundraising, M&A, and investor relations activities.

·         Oversee financial reporting, KPI tracking and other dashboard reporting

·         Present financial insights and recommendations to client leadership teams and boards.

·         Support clients on strategic and ad hoc projects, including profitability analysis, process optimization, internal control enhancements, new accounting standard implementation, and acquisition-related analysis and integration.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

·         Work closely with internal accounting teams to align financial strategy with operational execution.

·         Mentor junior finance professionals and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

 

What you bring…

·         Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, or sales support.

·         Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance executive, ideally in a consulting or multi-client environment.

·         Leverage a strong business acumen and prior experience to understand client needs, provide strategic insights, and drive value-added solutions across engagements.

·         CPA, MBA, or equivalent financial credentials strongly preferred.

·         Strong understanding of financial modeling, strategic planning, and operational finance.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Proficiency with accounting and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero).

·         Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for helping businesses grow.

·         Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

·         Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.

 

*Preferred: Consideration will be given to candidates in the Atlanta or Chattanooga area who are comfortable working in a hybrid model. The CAS team works remotely, with periodic in-office meetings for those in the local market.  We will also consider strong candidates that are remotely based in other geographic locations.
